The Beginning of Taco Pronto

The Beginning of Taco Pronto
Taco Pronto started in 1967 as a franchise location called Taco Pete, operated by a Wichita local who gave ownership to the family that runs it today. Ken was running a bar and worked a day job at Boeing when he fell into the taco business, and welcomed the challenge. In 1980, the name changed to Taco Pronto, giving Wichita it's very own fast-casual Mexican food staple.

Generations of Ownership, Customers, and Employees

Generations of Ownership, Customers, and Employees
Now run by Ken's son, Joe, Taco Pronto still does things the old-fashioned way, refusing to cut corners or compromise on quality for his loyal customers who have frequented the restaurant for decades. Joe also makes a point to promote all kinds of local events, citing community service as a big part of why he loves what he does. The generations of customers and employees who love Taco Pronto are a testament to its enduring legacy and commitment to quality, community, and delicious food.
